About HCPSS’ SFES Judy Center

HCPSS’ Judy Center at Stevens Forest Elementary School (SFES) connects children ages 0 to 5 and families living in the SFES catchment area with high-quality, comprehensive, full-day, full-year early education services, promoting school readiness.

HCPSS’ Judy Center at SFES is located in portable classrooms on SFES campus. All visitors must check in at the school front office before heading to the Judy Center.

Join us for a new program called Move to Learn

Tuesday August 12th 10:00-11:00. Move and Groove with us while learning math and literacy skills . This structured play group combines music and exercise activities with preacademic skills to build healthy brains and bodies. Take home a Judy Center ball to carry on the fun. Includes a book, drink and snack.

Coming Soon to Stevens Forest

We are excited to announce the opening of Howard County's second Judy Center, located at Stevens Forest Elementary School. This new Judy Center will serve families with children ages birth through five who live within the Stevens Forest Elementary School area. It will connect families to comprehensive, full-day, full-year early care and education services, as well as family support. If you would like more information about the new Judy Center, please complete the interest form. A staff member will contact you. Family Advisory Comitee

Join the Family advisory committee! We are working to form our Family Advisory Committee for this year at the Judy Center. We will hold 3 meetings total throughout the year.   As a member of this committee you will help  provide input on Judy Center programming and work with Judy Center staff to develop new ideas to reach families, provide feedback related to Judy Center outreach, advocate for the families who are part of the Judy Center assist in identifying families with young children or pregnant moms, attend three 1-hour meetings a year at the Judy Center (Lunch and child care will be offered)

Inclement Weather Reminders

In the case of inclement weather closures or delays for HCPSS, all Judy Center activities will be canceled for that day.
