Stevens Forest Judy Center Programs

We believe that every child grows at their own pace—and every caregiver plays a key role in that journey. That is why the Judy Center at Stevens Forest offers a variety of free and engaging programs that are designed specifically for families with young children and align with the Maryland Early Learning Standards. These programs are created to support early learning in key areas such as:

  • Social and Emotional development
  • Pre-academic school readiness skills; Language and Literacy, Math, Science, Technology and the Arts
  • Healthy habits through nutrition and physical activity

The Judy Center at SFES offers three types of family-friendly programming:

  • Structured Family  Playgroups: Small, consistent groups that meet regularly with specific skills focus
  • Drop-in Open Playgroups: Flexible, open attendance for developing social skills
  • Family Engagement Activities: Special themed events and learning experiences

In addition, we host Family Together Nights and collaborate with Stevens Forest Elementary School to offer exciting events for all ages. These gatherings help strengthen family bonds and create a sense of community.

Our schedule is flexible and designed with families in mind. We adjust program days and times based on family feedback, interests and availability, seasonal changes during winter and summer breaks. Please be sure to check our calendar regularly for the most up-to-date program times and event details.
