Our missed May Swing, Sway and Soothe class will be held in the evening on Wednesday, June 1st. The virtual class will begin at 6:30pm. Contact The Judy Center for more details.

Terrific Tots playgroup will be held the first 3 Wednesdays in June at Owen Brown Community Center. Children ages 1-2 in the Cradlerock area and their caregivers are invited to join for music, movement, storytime and more.

Our June Read for Health will be the book "Under Ground", and we will learn all about how healthy foods start underground! Kids and families will make edible "soil" cups, plant their own seeds, and get a book to take home. Join us June 7th at 10am!

Our Wednesday playgroup at Owen Brown Community Center will be Terrific Tots in May. It is open to all children ages 1-2 years in the Cradlerock area. Children and caregivers will play, sing songs, have story time, build cooperative skills, and more! Registration is required.

Join the Judy Center for our May Read for Health story and activity! We will learn all about fruits and vegetables with the book "Good Enough to Eat" and make a mango salsa recipe. Every family will get a copy of the book and recipe to take home.

The Children's Discovery Fair is sponsored by the Howard County Early Childhood Advisory Council and is a free event for preschoolers, parents, and caregivers that will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 23rd at North Laurel Community Center. This school readiness event is a celebration of Howard County's Month of the Young Child and is part of the Launch into Learning initiative. This event is an opportunity for Howard County programs and organizations to give back to the community by offering a fun, hands-on learning activity for children. Parents will learn important information about school readiness and community resources.

Kindergarten registration is coming soon! If you child will be 5 on or before September 1, 2025 they are eligible for kindergarten. Our first in-person playgroup was a great success. Our Judy Center kids had a great time today listening to Curious George Visits the Libaray. We then made our own books and had time to play and make friends. We can't wait to see everyone again next month! https://bit.ly/34z3rZW

We are so excited to welcome you back to The Judy Center for April's Read for Health class on April 5 at 10:00am. We will be outside, so dress for the weather. We will learn all about how movement keeps your body healthy and how moving our bodies is fun! Families will take home a book and activity cube. In the event of rain, the class will be held virtually at the scheduled time.

Our outdoor playgroup, Let's Move!, is back for spring. Join us Tuesday March 15 and Tuesday March 22 outside at The Judy Center for fun movement activities and games. The playgroup runs from 10-10:45am and is open to children ages 2-4 in the Cradlerock area. No registration required. Dress for the weather (we will reschedule for rain), use the bathroom before arriving, and be ready to play outside!
